Hi! In the Weeds Bees is a small business based in Portland, Maine that’s all about bees, but not just the popular ones. A lot of people love bees, but a lot of people don’t know there are more out there than just honeybees. I’m all about teaching people about the powerful little pollinators that are native to their backyard and are often overlooked or written off as pests. I make handcrafted homes that solitary bees can nest in so you can support your local bee populations and enjoy watching and learning about these cuties!
Handcrafted Bee Hotels.
My homes for bees are thoughtfully designed with the biology and health of native bees in mind. They make it easy and fun to observe and care for the critters that nest in them. Plus, they’re made from wood grown here in Maine.
